ALPLA at a glance

ALPLA Works Alwin Lehner GmbH & Co KG (‘ALPLA’ for short) is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of rigid plastic packaging solutions. We produce innovative packaging systems, bottles, closures and injection-moulded parts of the highest quality for various industries.

Our customers range from international corporations to local businesses. The applications for our products are diverse. We tailor packaging solutions for beverages, food, dairy products, cosmetics, household care, motor oil, lubricants, pharmaceuticals and crop protection. Our key raw materials are PET and HDPE. With over 30 years of experience in recycling and our own recycling facilities, we also contribute to keeping plastic in the recycling loop.

Alwin Lehner, along with his brother Helmuth Lehner, founded our company in 1955 as ‘Alpenplastik Alwin Lehner GmbH’ in Hard, Austria. Since then, we have not only remained loyal to our founding location but also to our philosophy as a family-owned business. Trust, respect and reliability, both towards our employees and our customers, have always been essential components of our identity. This is closely connected to the new ALPLA purpose statement, ‘Providing solutions for safe, affordable and sustainable living worldwide’.

As a modern family-owned company, ALPLA maintains a strong connection to its roots while also adopting a forward-looking approach. Profitable business growth not only provides security for our employees but also for our customers and partners. Sustainability, especially the responsible management of resources, forms the foundation of our entrepreneurial activities to ensure that future generations can live in a healthy environment.

ALPLA is a partner in numerous initiatives, research and development programmes and non-profit organisations devoted to building a sustainable packaging economy. Our engagement enables us to work together to focus our strengths and expertise, create innovative solutions and methods and position them where they can achieve the maximum effect.
